Another Bike Ride - Alabama Hills, California
__________
Just posting another bike video of me on my fatbike. This ride is through the Alabama Hills just out of Lone Pine, California. I'm sorry the sound isn't all that great. Still, you can hear most of what I'm saying when talking on the bike.
This ride was neat because it ascends to the base of the Eastern Sierras which are the home of Mt Whitney, the highest mountain in the lower 48 of the United States. You can see there's lots of climbing that eventually gets steeper and steeper. Towards the end of the video I'm reduced to walking the last portion. Definitely, the ascent took its toll on me.
The following descent was fun and fast. I think I peaked at about 35 mph which is pretty fantastic considering I'm riding a fatbike with huge tires.
Of course there will be more videos of me riding new and unique areas.
Cheers
Tom
