This morning was quite interesting. While the morning was quite overcast, the imagery was fantastic. I took a couple of ubiquitous images of the Lake Louise Chalet, which was quite impressive in the dark and snow. This imagery wasn't nearly as impressive as the sun rose enough to brighting the skies a bit.
What I find super interesting in images like the one above is the texture of trees. Not only that, trees covered in snow. Add a few elements like dramatic light from a rising sun, I think you have a compelling image. The neat thing is going really tight focusing in the narrow view doesn't change things much. In fact, the detailed images are just as interesting as the broad view as you'll see in these images.
