__________
These are the final two images from my trip to Banff National Park. This image was taken after dinner. The one below, before dinner. I had worked at both locations where these images were taken previously on the trip. At the location of the image below, I last worked there my first morning here when the temps were in the -35 deg C range. The location from the one above was the first night I was in the area when I met the guy standing precisely on this spot for hours hoping for a train to come by--it never did.
The wonderful thing about photography is even though you can practically put your tripod legs in precisely the same spot as another shoot, you can get completely different imagery. Mother Nature has character and she changes things up every day. The clouds in these images are completely different. This makes the light completely different. This leads to the images being different even though the compositions are essentially similar. That variations is yet, another reason why I love photography.Frozen Vermillion Lakes at Night

__________
This trip was outstanding in so many respects. Just being out there in the cold was a wonderful experience. (Yes, I'm that guy.)
I hope to make it back to another part of the Canadian Rockies next year. It's been too many years since I was last in the area and need to not be away so long in the future.
Cheers
Tom
