For the last few years, I plan on a trip anywhere to do photography. I originally planned to go up to Northern Minnesota to shoot birds at a particular site that catered to the birds, but the plane tickets were much higher than desired. Instead, I decided to visit a couple of places in the Southwest with an emphasis towards night photography. The ultimate goal was to shoot Delicate Arch, which I’ll get into in a bit.

These two images were shot right after each other using two different compositions. I have them both here because they both show how important composition is for the viewer’s experience of the scene. The second image was a single capture while the former was a pano made up of four images shot in succession while panning the camera across the scene in front of me.
