Campsite - Campbell, New York
This was were I stopped for the night. When I checked in the owner there said "there was a wedding here today, the kids are probably down by your site. They won't be a bother will they?" I replied "oh, they'll be fine. I'm sure they won't stay up late or anything". She looked at me like "what, are you kidding?" When I got to my site, they were no kidding sitting around the picnic table at the site next door, to the right. And, they had a lot of beer. Actually, I was kind of surprised they weren't a lot more rowdy for all the empty beer bottles they had. Nope, no problems at all.
The funniest was this trio of little girls, eight to 10 or so, wandered into my area and were curious about my tent. I think the youngest wanted a place to play--i.e. the tent. The others just wanted to move along.
I was definitely the only guy tenting. For a strip of land, I paid the same price as a full RV taking the same spot. That doesn't quite seem fair to me. I guess if I dwell on such things I'd stopped being the cool and collected person I am. Instead, I just enjoy where I go and the people I meet.
Oh, ear plugs do fantastic for blocking out sounds like wedding partiers just as well as trains.
