Student Portrait - Sacheon, Korea
Here is one of my students who is seated in the backseat.
Fortunately for us, we were able to change our hosts plans on which aircraft we were flying. Originally, we were supposed to fly four FA-50 flights, one each for the students. The instructors were supposed to fly the T-50, which is a slightly stripped down version of the FA-50. The primary difference between the planes other than the paint job was the T-50 didn't have a radar.
The FA-50 the students were supposed to fly was the original/prototype FA-50. That meant it also didn't have a radar meaning if the original plan happened as originally scheduled, we wouldn't be able to assess this very important tool.
Lucky for us, our hosts completely understood our needs and were able to make adjustments by letting three of the students fly the intermediate version of the FA-50, the TA-50.
